What the club says: 6,523 yards off the back tees and just over 6,141 off the yellow tees, it's a good test and has one of the best starts and finishes of any golf course you'd wish to play and if there is a real feature to the course it's the fact it has excellent greens with the need to hit the right area of the fairway to get at them.

Great course, pretty flat too

Splendid
A superb course in the middle of Newcastle. Nice welcome. Strong fairways and superb greens. Followed by a drink a refurbished clubhouse. All for ?25. A must play for anyone visiting the north east.Reviewer Rating

Played in Feb, had to use fairway mats or move to side but other than that course was good. Only 3 winter greens was a positive for this time of year and generally greens ran true and fast. Not a difficult course on winter tees, plays short but can be tight in places. Staff were very helpful and fee was only ?12.

Lovely round, course is well looked after and the holes at the back that have been changed with the river/brn have been well looked after
