It’s really sad to see what they’ve done to this course. Used to be a fantastic course with a bit of everything. Now it’s bland. The two best holes have been cut out and the way you now play the existing holes doesn’t provide much variety. The old layout conservative holes would give totally different challenges now the layout the holes simply merge drearily into each other. All in all it has the whole feel of something trying to run the course down as part of a grander plan. One of Surreys hidden gems has definitely been snatched away.

The future of golf?

Chiddingfold is now a 12 hole course with a planned driving range and academy course.
As it is a relatively short course, even at 12 holes, you can get round quickly. Maybe this is the future of golf. Not spending fours hours plus of frustration with slow play!
Shame is that the changes took out some of the more interesting holes.
Still a challenge as it is a very tight course.
Greens are in reasonable nick if a mite slow.
Pleasant clubhouse, really nice staff and basic but good food.
For those traditionalists it might not be for you.

Ok course - nothing spectacular

Muddy day. Closing soon for a winter rehash to a 12 hole course. A little tired but still a challenge as the back 9 are very hilly.

Chiddingfold is a hidden gem.
Our society day was a resounding success, with all complimenting the venue.
The members and staff are warm and welcoming, whilst the course is a good challenge for golfers of all standards.
Definitely, a course to return to play.

A pretty Surrey Golf Club

Chiddingfold Golf Course is a very attractive golf course with many trees and hills to give you a challenge even for the better golfer who could find the course a little short but it has very friendly staff who also serve nice snacks and at the moment August its in great condition.

Great Value

Be playing Chidders for a few years now. Did not join as a member this year for a number of reasons, not club related.
Getting back into golf late in the season and the course is still a delight.
It is very tight and accuracy rather than lower is the key to a good round.
A couple of recent changes have made the 9th and 11th a little easier by taking out a ditch. Bit of a shame in my view but I am scoring better!
Greens are in great condition. They can be usually a bit slow as they are being kept a bit long.
Bunkers are fine, not that I was in many!!!!!
The clubhouse is not the most palatial you will find but I am not taking up residence!
Great breakfasts and the staff are some of the best you will find around.
There is always work going on around the course when you are playing.
It has to be the best value for money course around.

Sunny golf in April

We had a great game of golf in the sun but with a bitter north wind with the greens in great condition and the fairways drying nicely after our wet spring.

This course is beginning to recover from the worst of the winter rain and is drying out nicely. Bunkers are good, fairways in the main are back to their best, greens are very good. Shortish course but well worth a visit.

This course is awesome! It's well-maintained and has reasonable fees. It's also my home club, so I may be a bit biased. But seriously, it's a great value for money and it's in great condition. It's also pretty short but still challenging.

Hidden Gem

Chiddingfold is a lovely course, short in stature maybe but tough in character.
The yardage may make you think Chid will be a walk over but each tee shot is challenging and requires your full attention
