What the club says: The 18 hole, par 70 (72 for ladies) course is set amidst 120 acres of open countryside with panoramic river views from all parts of the course. Although a parkland course, its proximity to the river gives some holes a "links feel", and offers a challenge to players of all abilities.

Worth a vist for the food!
Enjoyable course to play, very well laid out with bunkers etc in teh rioght places. Undulating with great views in good weather. Greens in very good condition considering the tim eof year and recent weather. Breakfast is fantastic value and the Society meal (Steak & Kidney Pudding) was wonderful!Reviewer Rating

holding up well in the drought
Played in the heatwave but as the course is above the river Crouch there was a sea breeze.Temperature 29C

Needs work
Lovely setting and run by really nice people, but has had issues getting necessary work done recently. Fairways and green surrounds need a really good cut. Greens are very inconsistent.Sure they'll get this sorted soon and it will be well worth a vist.

Love this course!
Such a lovely golf club, beautiful setting, friendly staff, course well keptthe only downside the visitors green fee £32.50 and that's an afternoon midweek reduced rate!

Absolute pearl in Essex

Great course with great views
Love this course, makes you think about your shot placement.Very friendly, well kept and lovely balcony overlooking the 18th hole. On a clear day spectacular views over the Croach
