What the club says: Originally a 9-hole course and later extended to 18-holes in 2005 using USGA greens specifications, our course is playable from a selection of tees at yardages of 5,306 (Red), 5,996 (Yellow), 6,207 (White), and 6,427 (Black). Our course is challenging and fair and kept in great condition by our Head Greenkeeper, Chris Ainsworth and his staff. The course is well balanced with four par 5's, four par 3's and twelve par 4's. We have a brook that meanders through the course and further water hazards that come into play. In 2019 we were proud to appoint a new PGA Professional in Jack Horrocks. Jack is a young local professional who provides a friendly engaging service to members and visitors alike. He installed a golf simulator in the shop (2020) which has been a great success and he should be the first point of contact for all golf-related enquiries including visitor bookings, lessons, golf societies, golf days, simulator room hire, and golf merchandise sales. Jack can offer discounts on group bookings and green fees and we also intend to offer Early Bird (5.30am to 7.30am) and Twilight (6pm onwards) green fees in May, June, July and August of 2020. We are not an affluent club, we aim to provide a warm welcome, a very good golf course, and value for money for our customers - members and visitors alike. We hope to welcome you to Breightmet GC and for you to enjoy our course and experience the friendship yourself.
