What the club says: Founded in 1993 as a 9 hole course, the club now offers 18 holes, outdoor & indoor practise facilities including simulator, fully stocked Profesional Shop, bar with catering, a function room for up to 120 guests, secure car parking and a true Yorkshire warm welcome!!

What I liked about the course:
-The layout and condition were great
-The views were stunning
-The pro was friendly
-The scenery was lovely
- The reception was friendly
- The holes were challenging and interesting

Tough but fair

Good shots are rewarded, bad ones punished. Great course in good condition. Will definitely play here again

exceptional course

well maintained course with great staff and facilities. Worth a visit to any golfer if you enjoy scenic views on almost every hole and a great team to assist you in all your needs

A little gem

Panoramic views of the Yorkshire Dales. Friendly club with a nice bar and reasonably priced food. Worth a visit.

Magnificent!

The whole course was in tip-top condition. It’s on the short side but the views from each tee are to die for. All inspirational and helped me play my best golf for years; I’m going back tomorrow!. Nice club house with good local ales, food and friendly helpful staff. Same in the pro shop (not the beer and food though).

Great views

Quite a picturesque course, not overly long but dog legs and hazards make you think your way round. ?20 for a visitor on a Saturday afternoon was good value.

February 2019

Took advantage of the dry weather in late Feb '19.
Booked online and reported in at the Pro Shop. Friendly reception, and was allowed to start the round early as the course was quiet.
The ground was in good condition and greens receiving spring treatment.
Enjoyed the experience, and any bad shots were soon forgotten by the pleasure the wonderful views of Yorkshire Dales.
Will return

Bracken Ghyll - The Friendly Club

We were made very welcome by the club professional and you can see that the club has invested in their facilities, excellent improvements to their bar and catering. The course was in terrific condition.

Spectacular views of the moors

Very good condition. Quite hilly particularly towards end of round but very good layout with interesting holes. Not too long, could easily play without need for driver but greens have some difficult slopes.

Nice course if it was kept better. Some greens were unplayable as they had debris that had not been cleared off. Didn't see any one making an effort to do anything about it.
