What the club says: Ben Rhydding is a hidden gem of a course, situated in the lee of the famous Cow and Calf rocks, with stunning views across the Wharfe Valley. It is very popular with visitors, and you will be made most welcome. Tee times are available weekdays and weekends. Testing, short course with Summer par being 65 and yet the course record is only 62. Check our website for details of membership offers for golfers and folk who just want to give golf a try. The clubhouse is run by volunteer members and consequently is not always open. Please telephone or email beforehand if access is essential. Green fees are payable via an Honesty Box system so please bring the exact amount needed. If only playing 9 holes then the fee is £10 per person. On-line booking can be made via GolfNow (was TeeOffTimes).

Unpleasant people that run it
Was late by 5* minutes (it happens from time to time) and i was greeted by a very very unpleasant member basically telling us we couldn’t play. Its the exact type of club that puts young players starting the game trying to have fun. It ruins it end off. Went for 18 holes played 9 terrible layout but the condition of the course was brilliant that was the only up side.Reviewer Rating

Ben Challenge
Nice little nine hole course with a few challenges along the way, hidden pins and undulating greens with water hazards, test the golfer. Fantastic views and well thought out course, recommended.Reviewer Rating

Not for new players
On arrival there was nobody manning the clubhouse, money was left in an honesty box to pay for the round. On the course it is very confusing on quite a few holes as to where you're teeing off from and to, there is no map on the scorecard to assist and often fairways and greens are out of sight, even on a par 3. The fairways intertwine on a few holes too, so if the course has more than a couple of groups playing, I?d imagine there could be a lot of hold up.. The course was well kept, and the greens ran true while providing a challenge as the course design has clearly made use of the hills, though that does make for some testing shots on fairways.Reviewer Rating
