What the club says: Bondhay Golf Club's two courses feature spectacular design architecture and provide a challenge for players of all handicaps.

Bondhay 18 Hole Championship Course - Described as the only true championship standard course in the region, the 6871 yard, par 72 course dominates the surrounding Nottinghamshire countryside, offering a formidable round of golf with water hazards coming into play on 4 holes.

Much better than it was

Played here for the first time in 2022 and was impressed by the total variation of each hole and spectacular magnets on 9, 10, 11 and 18th!.
Since it was October the ground-staff were busy cleaning up the many leaves. It blew me away being so good and nice layout.
Played many times in 2024 and the improvements made to the Greens is plane to see- loads of fairway trees have been removed with a few more still planned to be felled, the removal of trees around some of the greens has allowed more light to get to them and the improvements nice to play on.

There are some good deals to be had on many occasions, so take advantage of these when they are available.

I do hope that they manage to improve the 19th hole facilities since the bar, seats and flooring remind you of a works canteen unfortunately. Some money has been spent on the function rooms however. Likewise the locker rooms are in a state of disrepair which again is unfortunate since these would offer members some comfort.
The driving range has been improved with the addition of the Trackman system- makes using this more interesting.
Its a great course - well recommended

Played this in July. Course in great condition and greens very true and fair paced. You need to be straight off the tee on most of the holes with lost balls common on any errant shots. A real challenge but most certainly an enjoyable one.

Trees, trees and more trees, very tight fairways. Suitable for lower handicappers. Anything slightly off straight is in trouble and needing a sideways chip,

Challenging course for the high handicapper like me. There?s water on a few holes but the 18th is a tough one to get a par on. But it's very enjoyable to play.

Very enjoyable course which was in very good condition after all the rain. The greens were slick but not too fast, plenty of run on the fairways.

As hard as ever, but we love it!

Bondhay is widely regarded as the hardest course in the local area and many shy away from it or call in sick for this round. Wayward shots end up in the trees, but take your medicine and chip out to the fairway and carry on and you can score round here. Try and be Tiger Woods from in the trees and you will get eaten up by this course. Some wonderful holes in 4, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14 and one of the best 18th holes you will play anywhere (which for the first I went for in two yesterday). Pro shop always helpful, food is great and facilities are all there. It would have got a 10 but for some tee off mats and the odd green which still needs to level out and a couple of missing 150 yard markers. We will always come back and love/hate it depending how we play. If you have not played this course, go there and experience it. It is not for high handicappers or those who are wayward, they will hate it. Do it, you know its a must!

After a heavy rainy March the course us better than some but still to muddy for me. So e fairways widened by cutting down a lot of trees.

Awful

Played the course 18/03/23 and was very very disappointed, the fairways were left incredibly long, no defining cut between fairways and semi rough, the greens were heavily sanded, not rolled and pitted and scarred. Trees have been felled around the greens to let in more sunlight on the greens but they have left two foot ugly stumps as a hazard which looked like a child had been let loose with a birthday chain saw.
The food and drinks were good and a special mention to the bar staff for a pleasant service -- the only redeeming feature of the day !
