What the club says: Boldon Golf Club is an ideal venue when visiting the north east or heading to or from the Scottish borders.
A parkland course set on the northern outskirts of Sunderland offering views of the north east coastline and distant conurbations. A challenging test for golfers of all abilities.

Worth visiting
New drainage being applied to 5th green so temp in use but otherwise, the course is in good condition & definitely worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

For only £12.50 we though it was a bargain and the course generally was decent BUT very green had been airated and was like putting in a pinball machine

Poor condition
Played here recently and it was really poor. Surprised really as it's always been in good condition. I know the weather has been bad but it was just tatty. Dunno if there's been a change in the groundsman but I was really disappointed with what we found.Reviewer Rating

Rude ground-staff
Always challenging espcially in bad weather - Only bad point is the apparent rudeness of the ground-staff which just seems to be a recent problem ...seem to ignore golfers and just keep doing their work until they finished or they will keep their engines on next to a green while golfers putting out...the "best" example was yesterday when I was using the practice area for chipping ...while I was in middle a groundskeeper just came onto the green (removing my putter that was acting as a flag) and proceeded to mow it with any acknowledgment to myself..I stood there for a few mins until I realized they were not going to stop any time soon so I went back to my car totally unimpressed . This gives a really bad impression of the place.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic Condition and Location

Always a pleasure to play
This course has always been my choice. I have played here since I was a junior and am still enjoying every aspect of it. Our greens this year have very much improved they are very fast and in exceptional condition. All our visitors enjoy the course and frequently return.Reviewer Rating
