What the club says: Boldmere Golf club was established in 1936 originally as a 9 hole golf course. The club boasts the oldest pro-am event in Europe, with top professionals joining the competition since it began in 1952. A recent score of 57 by M. Morris stands as the lowest round at Boldmere golf club and a 6 under par round at boldmere with all of its challenging par 3's is no mean feat. The par at boldmere is 62 with a total of 4202 yards, although only a short course consisting of 11 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 1 par 5, it is found by all who play here to be a tricky and challenging course due to the length of the long par 3's where many golfers need a wood to reach. The course is situated on the edge of Sutton Park leading to some rewarding views across the La Reserve lake.

Decent in good weather
Nice in the good weather, nice and wide open, greens beed some work as very patchy and unpredictable, to many par 3's 11 out of 18 holes are par 3's and 4 are difficult as they are 200 yards plusReviewer Rating

Quick round
Only par 62, so short round, worth the money on the twilight offer as was under £13 for 18 holes but not at full price, bunkers are dreadfull no sand in them and greens need some work, and do not take any notice of the 11th tee arrow behind the 11th green as it directs you left but you have just played it ????????Reviewer Rating

Nice flat municipal and saves time
Always good to play this nice course. A lot of par 3s (10) so takes less time than most courses. Quite flat apart from the little 'annexe' of par 3s (12th-14th holes). Good prices. Part of the former Birmingham City Council municipals now run by 'MyTime'Reviewer Rating

Nice flat "easy" mainly par 3 beauty
Boldmere always a great course to play when you need a break from those long, exhausting "proper" courses. It's a real beauty with mostly flat walkable holes, many of them par 3s (there's one par 5) set next door to Sutton Park and lake. It's not all easy though, there are enough challenges to keep even the most experienced golfers on their toes. Love it!Reviewer Rating

Council type course, cheap and cheerful
11 par 3's on here, was ok. Played it now so won't return unless nothing else available. That's not to put people off as some of these par 3's are very challenging. Had ran out of scorecards so gave us some for a nearby course lol, very strangeReviewer Rating

Swinging in the rain !
A challenging course with its own Amen Corner, 11th,12th and 13th. I play this course regularly and it's a good parkland course. However, at the moment the greens are not looking at their best.Reviewer Rating

Decent Municiple Course
Short course but some challenging and quite long par 3's which keep it interesting. Fariways and greens are in good condition.Usually play this course with a friend as a warm up before society competitions. Will continue to do so :-)

It's not a smash driver sort of course, Greens not in good condition as most public courses due to not being regularly maintained during pandemic/ furlough periods.
