What the club says: 9 holes were built in the mid 1960's. This was well established parkland with mature trees and a grand display of beautiful flowers during certain months of the year, making the course an even more pleasant place to be. An additional 9 holes were built at the start of the 1980's and the course now stands at 6223 yds from the white tees.

Top Golf

Ashton is in top form. The new work on drainage improvements has allowed the course to cope with this very wet summer. The greens are excellent and testing. Watch out for the bunkers though they are very inconsistent in terms of quality of sand ranging from soft to almost clay.

Great Spring Golf

The course is rapidly drying out after a wet winter and is looking and playing great. Two ball 18 holes in less than three hours then a drink on the patio. There are worse things than retirement.
