What the club says: Alder Root Golf Club is located just outside of Warrington, in the midst of breathtaking and tranquil Cheshire countryside. This provides a glorious backdrop to this beautiful, yet still considerably demanding course. With ten different holes, the course sprawls for 6017 yards when played as an eighteen-hole round, with a standard scratch score of 68 and a par of 69.

Played it a few times now only front 9 which I found it good at a challenge. I'm not scoring well on it so defy challenging, I think from a negative point the bunkers could be better & also the tee off areas are not in great condition on some holes but with the weather we have had recently I'm not to suprised.

Nice & course in good condition however some bunkers need more sand to help get under & through the ball.

Fabulous course.
Alder Root golf course is a gem. The fairways and greens are in terrific condition but the bunkers need some attention. There are a variety of holes and players can avail themselves of nine or eighteen challenges. The staff are very helpful and the sausage and egg barmS are to die for!Reviewer Rating

Disappointed
Booked 18 holes for me and some friends was paid online . Turned up at the course and was told we all had too pay an extra £10 each too purchase a winter mat .. Seems like there just trying too rip golfers off the conditions we’re dry and sunny & the pro shop member of staff was a waste of time . What w wasted journey . Didn’t pay on principle and they use too rent mats and there’s no details on the web siteReviewer Rating

Good course nice and flat
Good course some testing holes as narrow played for 2 years club house is great all friendly problem for me is to many comps on at weekends some times all day sat/sundays . Specially when you only get time to play twice a month.Reviewer Rating

Nice parkland course for all standards of players. Greens are really nice, however fairways are sometimes tricky in the wet. Good value so always great for a practice round!

Not the best but my mate loves it
Course is well looked after. Its only a 9 hole and you play it twice fairways are abit for me because i cant drive stright but if your a good player you will like it ......Reviewer Rating

A testing and tough course with difficult rough. Some very interesting holes and can see as the course gets more and more mature its starting to develop. A lot of standing water on the greens unfortunately put a 'dampner' on the day but would like to try again on a dry day.. if we get one. Fantastic hospitatlity, friendly club house - would recommend testing your skills here
