What the club says: In total there are 5 eighteen hole golf courses - Oakwood, Pines, Beeches, Willows and our new course Kigbeare.
The courses occupy a lightly wooded parkland setting, in rolling countryside on the foothills of Dartmoor National Park. Extra hazards have been added to the natural ones already present, with dozens of bunkers and eighteen lakes making play even more of a challenge.

Fourth year I have been, and 15 years group have been. 3 to a room a little cramped but if playing golf not in the room much. Played 5 golf courses in all, mostly not well but that is mainly down to me. Oakwood 8, Beeches 5, some good holes but course is very up and down, left to right and vice versa with many blind shots, least favourite course. Pines 8, Willows (Par 3) 8 Handicap far too high in relation to index, Kigbere, 9 signature course excellent. 3 meals a day plenty of options, good standard of food. Other facilities Archery, shooting, snooker etc really good and all free. Disappointed that indoor bowls replaced by darts. All round though great venue excellent value for money and going back next year.Reviewer Rating

Golf break
We had a four day golf break, it was excellent, the courses were in great condition and very interesting a good test of golf skills, the greens were slow but well maintained. The staff were superb, very helpful and always pleasant. Food was plentiful not top cuisine but good and you will not be disappointed. We will be back next year for certain.Reviewer Rating

They have a number of courses most of which are excellent, you need a buggy and these are reasonably priced and always available. Packages for groups are good with some discounts especially if willing to share 2 to 3 to a room. Food is buffet for Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner. Rooms on small side but don't spend a lot of time in them. Numerous facilities available Snooker / bowling / Archery / Shooting / indoor bowls / swimming pool and spa etc.Reviewer Rating

Challenging course
Challenging course with lots of slopes and contours which most courses don't have. But if you do play straight, can be rewarded as holes not too long. Course and greens in great nick.If you wish to walk, be warned it's a tough walk as very hilly and long walk between holes. I was the only person on the course not in a buggy and I can see why!

of the great team at the Ashbury, Green keepers are excellent always working on the course and the management team make the right decision when weather impacts the course. The courses offer different challenges and make your course management important to a successful round. Many holes are there for the more adventurous golfers and reward is great for your daring approach also. Overall it makes for a day of golf.
