What the club says: The course at Arkley Golf Club has the honour of having been designed by the legendary golf course architect James Braid in 1909. The man from Fife won the Open on five occasions and was just as adept with a pencil in his hand as a golf club, offering his golden touch to many of the most popular and well loved courses in Britain.

Tues - 30th March - Late afternoon round
Stunning day for it, a great 9-hole course with additional tee positions for an 18-hole round, and with it just reopening, the course looked great with fast greens and leaf-free in more unfriendly spots. I've played many times over the years and will continue to do so. Easy to book online, and reasonable prices. The woman in the club shop was friendly, had knowledge of the course changes over the lockdown and GUR's, and was wearing a mask. The only one thing I'd love to see at Arkley would be the inclusion of some water hazards to keep the sharks at bay. Now reopened, I'll be booking again very soon to get that scorecard starting with a 9.Reviewer Rating

Good course for a hit out
Visited this course on a Sunday afternoon and although not too crowded it was a very slow pace on an open a relatively easy course. The parkland course was easy to navigate and in good condition but there were no challenging greens or tricky holes. Good for a hit out but was a little bored especially on the back nine (i.e. the first nine from a different tee position).(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 83 Handicap: 12.4)
