Woodlake Park Golf Club Matchplay Results

After the recent finals day at Woodlake Park we have new Club Champions for 2012 after Mark Skinner narrowly beat Dave Redwood in a close final on the 37th hole and Jane Paske overcame the challenge from Janet Cavaciuti, taking the ladies title on the 16th hole.  Skinner last won the last of his previous four Club Championships in 2008 while Jane triumphed in the first two Ladies events back 1996/97.  In the Summer Singles young Craig Sadler took the title once again, having previously won two years ago, after beating John Davies on the 36th hole.  The Summer Doubles Champions for 2012 are Paul Westerberg and Andrew Allcock after they defeated the partnership of Kevin Charley and James Lowden.  In the scratch final for those over 12 handicap, Andy Cook beat John Dennehy, whilst the Mid-Week Member Cup was won by Chris Sully, who beat defending champion Colin Petterson.  In the Junior Summer Singles Junior Captain Rhys Evans triumphed over Joe Hinwood.
