Under Armour unveils Autumn/Winter performance apparel
Under Armour have announced their Autumn Winter performance apparel for golfers in 2015, as worn by Major Champion, Jordan Spieth. Under Armour have made a huge impact in the UK aparell market in recent years and have held the position of number one winter apparel brand for the last 4 years*,
Under Armour is now recognised as a go to brand for golfers looking to stay warm and dry on the course in the cold winter months.
New for 2015, Under Armour has introduced a three-tiered index to its Storm technology, to help golfers understand the differing levels of weather protection Storm offers against the elements, in the shape of Storm 1, Storm 2 and Storm 3.
Under Armour Storm 1
Storm 1 gives golfers water-resistant clothing through Under Armour’s DWR finish, which repels water making it suitable for light rain / showers where waterproofs aren’t necessary.
Storm 1 products:
- UA Elemental Golf Pant (£70)
- UA Tips Vest (£85) & Jacket (£100)
- UA Flagstick Storm Fleece ¼ Zip (£50)
- UA Storm Links ¼ Zip (£55)
Under Armour Storm 2
Storm 2 takes things up a level with highly water-resistant and windproof garments, featuring 3-layer bonded fabrics and windproof materials to shield golfers from the elements.
Storm 2 products:
- UA Elemental ½ Zip (£75)
- UA Elemental Jacket (£85).
Under Armour Storm 3
Storm 3 delivers clothing to golfers that is both windproof and waterproof, and is suitable for the wettest conditions winter golf can throw at us on the course. To do this, Under Armour uses Cocona fabrics, which disperse moisture and dry incredibly fast, and a 2.5 layer bonded fabric for a fully breathable construction.
Storm 3 products:
- UA Storm Dry Movement Jacket (£100)
- UA Storm Dry Movement ½ Sleeve (£75)
- UA Storm Dry Movement Pant (£70)
The Autumn / Winter 2015 range also sees the return of both ColdGear and ColdGear Infrared technologies. A collection of baselayers, polos, headwear and accessories completes the range.
