Trilby Tour Returns to Rockliffe Hall
Rockliffe Hall in Hurworth, County Durham has been selected again as a host venue for one of the UK’s most prestigious, televised golf tournaments.
The William Hunt Trilby Tour will arrive at the prestigious golf course, famed for hosting a range of high profile tournaments, on Tuesday June 30th. This year sees the return of the Trilby Tour Matchplay for both single and pairs competitors.
This will be the fourth time that the Trilby Tour has chosen Rockliffe Hall as a host venue, alongside other high profile golf courses including the Buckinghamshire, the London Golf Club and Stoke Park.
The Trilby Tour is the UK’s premier televised amateur golf tournament, broadcast across the Sky Sports network attracting over two million viewers, and was founded by world-renowned fashion designer and golf enthusiast, William Hunt.
Around 1,000 golfers compete in the Trilby Tour each year, taking part in regional championships across the UK which sees amateurs compete under professional conditions in a ‘winner takes all’-style tournament.
Rockliffe Hall’s golf course is famed for being one of the best in Europe and has been home to the European Tour English Senior Open for the last two years, attracting international names and Ryder Cup stars such as Ian Woosnam, Mark James and Sam Torrance.
