Adams Golf Win Golf Europe Product Award
Adams Golf is celebrating after the Tight Lies Fairway Wood won a Product Award at Golf Europe 2013 in Ausburg, Germany.
The Product Awards at the Golf Europe trade fair recognise an innovative entrepreneurial spirit within the golfing industry. On receiving the award, Simon Homer, Head of Adams Golf Europe, said: “We’re delighted to win a Golf Europe Product Award for the Tight Lies Fairway Wood. It revolutionised the game when it was first launched in the 1990’s and we feel it is set to do the same again this time around and allow golfers to love hitting a fairway wood again.”
Exhibitors at the Golf Europe with particularly innovative products were afforded an opportunity to submit their new products in a total of nine categories with the aim of winning the Golf Europe Product Award. An independent international panel of experts filled with well-known representatives from the trade, the media and professional players, including Tony Bennett (Director of Education at PGAs of Europe), Ben Evans (Editor, Cutting Edge Golf magazine and GBD magazine), Rainer Goldrian (CEO at PGA of Germany), Sven Hanfft (Editor at Golf Magazin) and Timo Hartig (CEO at G6 Golf GmbH) assessed all the entries and product innovations before announcing the winners in each category.
Adams Golf brought back the legendary Tight Lies fairway wood earlier this year, the club that first put the company on the map in the mid-1990s. The new and improved Tight Lies features many of the same design elements that made the original an enormous success, plus the new, award-winning Velocity Slot Technology that makes the face twice as hot as the original.
