Tiger Woods to Make TGL Debut This Week

The second ever TGL fixture takes place on Tuesday 14th January, where Los Angeles Golf Club face-off with Jupiter Links Golf Club. Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala will represent LA, and Tiger Woods, Kevin Kisner and Max Homa will play for Jupiter Links.

With 2025 being a Ryder Cup year, there is a subtle hint of Ryder Cup fever in the air, as Rose and Woods face off against each other. Woods and Rose have faced each other on opposing teams in the Ryder Cup, however they have never faced each other in singles matchplay.

Jupiter Links will start with possession of The Hammer (see explainer) for this fixture, giving them first control of when to opt for an extra point. The Hammer only came into play on two occasions in last week's fixture between TBGC and NYGC, so let's see if these two teams have any different strategies.

Tiger was in the broadcasting booth for the opening fixture of the season last week, it will be interesting to see if he can bring any moments of entertainment and commentary from amongst the action this time.

Tiger Woods

Hole to Watch

The hole to watch has got to be hole 8, par 4, Flex. With multiple routes to the pin, all around and over a giant lake of lava, players are going to have to be extra careful with this one!

Player to Watch

The player you cannot miss this week has got to be Collin Morikawa. Fresh off a 2nd place finish in The Sentry, finishing on an astounding 31 under par. He missed out narrowly to record breaking Hideki Matsuyama, who finished on a whopping 35 under par. Morikawa is playing some really great golf at the moment, let's hope he carries it on.

How to Watch

Week two of TGL will be shown live on Sky Sports Golf at 2am (Wednesday 15th) with the broadcast being available On Demand with repeats shown throughout the day.

It's going to be a tight one this week, two great teams loaded with ability and talent. Who do you think will take the victory, and start their climb up the TGL table?
