Greg Norman to help coach Chinese Olympic Team
It is being reported that former World No.1 Australian golfer, Greg Norman has been appointed by the Chinese Golf Association to help their team in the build up to the Rio Olympics.
Norman's official title will be advisory coach and he will help create a structure to identify and nurture the most talented golfers in China.
Norman has said the he is 'honored' to be appointed coach to the Chinese team and he will continue to work to improve China's standing in the World of Golf beyond the Rio Games.
Many commentators on the sport have had mixed feelings about Golf becoming part of the Olympic Games, but this maybe just one indication of the growth and globalisation of the sport that the Olympics helps to bring.
