Casual Golf Shoes
A new wave of golf shoe has been hitting the golf market over the last 12 months in the form of a trainer/street/golf hybrid shoe. These shoes are mainly designed for summer golf and have an emphasis on comfort and street fashion.
Fred Couples was the first player to adopt these shoes while complaining of a chronic bad back. Since then many tour pros have been pulling on these types of shoe in the locker room including Tiger Woods. Whether they are a further move away from golf’s elitist image or a step too far is still open to debate, but it seems that they are here to stay.
