What the club says: Forming part of a magnificent 300 acre estate, including 50 acres of lakes, our highly acclaimed 18-hole championship course is sensitively wrapped around the lakes and the drumlins of the County Cavan landscape. The course presents a wonderful challenge and the devilishly tricky greens present a searching examination of accurate approach play, which adds to the enjoyment factor.
The Par 3 Academy Course at the Slieve Russell is a delight to play at any time of year. With its 9 holes spanning over 1,200 yards, including holes ranging from 106 yards to 187 yards in length, it is a proper test of golf.

Slieve Russell is always in good condition & the greens are always pretty good. The hotel serves up good food & the rooms are very comfortable.

The scenery is beautiful, the greens are fair, and the challenge is just perfect. I had a great time here and I would definitely recommend it to others.

In Great Condition
Was due on the ground which made play difficult but bunkers - fairways - green + tee boxes were in great condition(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 20.5)

Outstanding Course
This is one of the best courses in Ireland. A wonderful parkland course with great holes especially those round the lake. Wonderful Hotel and well worth a visit to unwind and enjoy an excellent challenge on the golf course with very fast greensReviewer Rating

Fantastic course

Slieve Russell-a joy to behold
I have never played or seen SR in better condition. It was a joy to behold and a dream, albeit tough, to play. I have to say that the pace of play was good and the course was very well maintained. Greens were superb and fairways were really lush with grass after a wee drop of rain in the previous days. A course that you should all add to your bucket list.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 98 Handicap: 23.2)

Slieve Russell heaven
What an incredible place Slieve Russell is. A beautifully laid out 18 holes, absolutely stunning views throughout the course. Challenging but fair, choose your tees with care. A most enjoyable course, beautiful setting, fantastic clubhouse, great food. A must visit if you are anywhere near.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 89 Handicap: )

Beautiful course. Fairways and greens were in immaculate conditions. Some spectacular holes especially 12 and 13 around one of the lakes.

Beautiful hotel and smashing course. Would play again. But don't get pepper sauce with the steak sandwich as it was not nice.
