What the club says: Carya Golf Club, in Antalya's Belek Region, is the first classic, heathland style golf course to be built on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. Set on undulating sand hills, Carya is a championship golf course at the heart of Turkey's golf coast.

Grown in an extensive nursery on site, Carya's heather shapes define the course into a truly magnificent spectacle. The 7,186 yards, par 72 course, is a demanding test of golfing strategy with free flowing holes that run between pine and eucalyptus trees and across a dramatic sand ridge.

Carya boasts a Player's Course, a world class Golf Academy and spectacular new Club House.

Great layout and condition. Felt like a professional teeing off on the first next to the 'good luck' sign

Floodlit golf in the evening

This was played in the evening of Boxing Day, and we were told that we needed a minimum of 6 golfers before they would ‘turn the lights on’. As it happens we got 7 players, and started off as the sun was going down. The light was quite awkward at that time of evening, and until they turned on the floodlights at about the 6th or 7th hole, I was not enjoying the round. Having said that, once the lights came on, it was very easy to see and play improved considerably.
The course was very interesting, and I already want to go back and play it in the day time.
The tees, fairways and bunkers were all immaculate, and the greens were very quick and with some great slopes to get your head around. As the lights came on ahead of us, we saw some great views. Obviously players lost a few balls when these went outside of the floodlit areas, but otherwise the whole experience was worthwhile, if a bit ‘gimmicky’. As stated, the course stands up on it’s own, and I’d love to play it again.
It was a bit of a trek to the first tee, and we went past numerous practice areas which we didn’t use, as we all wanted to get on with the experience.

must play course

There are many good golf courses in this part of Turkey but this is up there with the best, Turkish open course for many years, from the first moment you arrive at the impressive clubhouse, to walking down the springy lush fairways and the excellent greens ,you know you are at a great course.
As you would imagine its a challenging course...

One of my favourite courses to play

This course has been the host of the Turkish open for good reason as it is a good golfing test and one that I enjoy testing my golfing skills on.

This course was great! The layout was fantastic, with a great condition and well organised setup. The club house was impressive and the quality of the course was exceptional, albeit expensive. We played it both during the day and at night and the character of the course was still evident even with the floodlights on. The only downside was the lack of on course catering, with no halfway house. It has been the host of the Turkish Open in the past and is a good challenge for all handicaps off the different tees.

Shocking Customer Service

Fantastic course, staff have zero customer service skills what so ever, I purchased a Taylormade glove that was overpriced at €28 for it to rip on the 2nd hole, that failed to replace it, with the staff member shouting It's you, its you, you did that,
Give the staff a wide berth, they are nasty, condescending and just dam right rude.

Peter Thomson’s Masterpiece

Fantastic course. Choose the right tees and the course will both challenge and delight. Forced carries over water on 2 par threes. 2 great drive able par 4s with water waiting again. Brush and heather in play too. Justin Rose won the Turkish Open here twice. No surprise. Thinking man’s course designed by one of the game’s great thinkers. Magnificent.

Best of the 4 courses we played

Everyone in our group loved this course which is well designed and a true test of golf for all levels. They do seem to have changed the course recently around the 6th hole as our GPS systems did not pick up the challenging par 3 over water and we were out of sync for a while. However, it is a lovely course. The greens were a bit iffy on the outward 9 and the bunkers had so much sand in them, you were out of breath just getting out of them! However, highly recommended and it will definitely be on our list next year.

This course was in fantastic condition. Amazing to see the new chipping/pitching area by the clubhouse which looks like it has been there forever. If only I had this back in England to practice on! Greens were the best of all courses we played (National/Pasha/Sultan/Monty). You are punished for going in the trees as you generally cant get sight to the green, but you always find your ball. A great compromise.
