What the club says: Market Drayton Golf Club was founded in 1906 and we celebrated our Centenary in 2006. The golf course was originally situated in Spoonley near Market Drayton before moving to it’s current location in 1926. We are therefore proud to relate that the Golf Club has now provided one hundred years of enjoyment, pleasure and companionship. We also have an on-course bungalow sleeping up to 8 people. Prices start from £45 per person per night including unlimited golf throughout your stay.

Easy on the eye
Beautiful course with lots of blind tee shots and elevated greens. Fairways are quite tight so you need to plan. Greens were true and nicely paced. Some nice drivable par 4s. Only thing that lets it down for the visitor is a confused layout and few or obscure “next hole” signs; there even appeared to be a spare flagged(!) green halfway up the fairway at one point which confused one of our party!Reviewer Rating

Excellent country course in very good nick
Played in Oct. Greens quite quick and in excellent condition. Fairways and Bunkers also in very good condition. Only one winter green and that was as good as the normal greens. Most tees played as normal but two or three mats in use. Excellent sausage sandwich in the club house served by friendly staff. Only 12.50 for visitors. Excellent value.Reviewer Rating

A welcome Oasis during this period of madness
A short, undulating course with narrow fairways, making it a challenge for all levels. Some easy holes and some very challenging ones, all set in the beautiful surroundings of the Shropshire countryside. This course plays well all year round.Reviewer Rating

On several holes they have mature, I mean 200 year old mature trees in the middle of the fairway right at about 250yrds. What course punishes the good playerReviewer Rating
