Had rained the last week solid as we played behond a tournament, so the course was a bit soggy and the greens were a bit nicked, but I love the layout. One of my favorite places to play.

Played this course again in May and it was in even better shape. This is a Gary Player designed course and its sometimes looks a lot easier than it actually plays. There are some pretty great holes on the course but beware of any bunkers....they may not be the easiest you have ever got out of (if you can).....if you ever visit the area I would add this to your list of "must play" courses

One of Virginia's hidden gems if you get it at the right price...usually lunchtime. Designed to be a "scottish" type layout and in some respects it does achieve that. Greens are in great shape as are the fairways but they need a little bit more TLC to get through the winter recess. Beware of the 18 left hand elbow.....you've got to hit that ball over a mountain of rocks with no idea where the green is let alone a flag
