What the club says: South Florida's legendary golf resort, a Mediterranean-style property set among 300 tropical acres, recently unveiled a stunning $150 million transformation. The new Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club debuted to rave reviews from travel publications and even more importantly, guests. Over $45 million was devoted to the two on-property golf courses that are more beautiful and more enjoyable to play than ever before. World Golf Hall of Famer Raymond Floyd completely redesigned both championship courses from tee to green and the results are nothing short of spectacular. In doing so, he also changed the landscape of Florida golf. It's golf unlike any other in the Sunshine State with gently countoured fairways, doglegs, spectaclar water features, and more elevation changes than is often seen in this part of the state.
Further enhancing the experience, a specatular 64-foot waterfall - the largest in the State - provides an unforgettable finish on the Soffer Course's 18-hole Island Green, while colorful indigenous flora and tropical trees surrounding each hole serve as a natural privacy barrier so every foursome feels like they're the only players on the course.
The Soffer and Miller courses offer 36 holes of character and a fair test for all skill levels. The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club is the official host of the NBC/ADT Golf Skills Challenge and The Stanford International Pro Am, an official LPGA tour event.
To compliment our award-winning championship courses, The Fairmont Turnberry Isle is proud to announce a partnership with the prestigious ESPN Golf Schools. This joint venture will provide resort guests and members with a number of world-class instructional programs, private instruction and personalized corporate events including Three-Day Resort Schools, Golf Schools for Women, Beginners Tours, daily Clinics and private lessons.

Excellent practice facilities with grass driving range, pitching and putting areas with no difficulty getting space on any of them all day. No charge for range balls.
Forecaddie fees included (as are buggies) although you're expected to tip another $20. First round I got nobody, second was a rather surly caddy clearly just there for extra cash, third day I got Seth who was great - ask for him if you get the chance. All other staff really friendly and helpful.
Both courses in really good condition when I was there, apparently greens slower than normal due to recent rain but still fast.
For a high handicapper (I'm 26 right now) these are possibly a bit too challenging, if you're having a bad day you'll run out of balls.....like a lot of Florida courses they are quite flat but narrow fairways and a LOT of water, the pro-shop told me 6-7 balls a round was about normal!
That said it's still a great experience and playing the 18th on Soffer well (island green and a big waterfall) can make up for a lot.
