Good municipal mature tree line parkland course
A good municipal mature tree line parkland course which had an easy walk with undulating fairways. Fairways were in good condition, but if you run off the fairways into the 1st cut it is very easy to lose a ball. Sadly the greens had just been sanded. The 7th is a tough par 3 with a ditch in front of the green and over hanging tree branches. My only criticism of this course is the bunkers which are in very poor condition (very little sand)
Practise chipping/ putting green. No driving nets.
A very good course for the price will definitely play again. Also has a great pro shop with a huge selection of equipment and clothing.

There is no lounge area for visiting golfers to relax with a drink. Members only bar. Can have a coffee in the soft play viewing area.

Hidden Gem - Top 10 public course
New practice facilities are excellent.Brilliant golf course tight but fair suitable for every golfer level.
£15 for Twilight is a must, but £28 midweek or £35 weekends is still under-priced for the challenge & the conditions in the proper golfing season.

Relaxed round
Nice gentle course in fairly good condition. As it's a public course it would be a good idea to remind players to rake the bunkers and replace divots.Reviewer Rating

Great course
Great course, still a bit damp in places and second cut a bit long. However as it drys out it will only get better. I would recommend this course and would definitely play it again, At £25 it is a real bargain, but don't tell anyone.Reviewer Rating

There arr no words..sometimes
Played as a group on a Saturday, charged full price . Yes we know there had been frozen conditions and Hartswood does not have great drainage so our expectations were low and we were not dissapointed...sadly.17 temporary greens... now as far as I'm concerned this means greens off the main course but in reasonable condition to play some sort of putt. These so-called temporaries had not work done on them at all around the golf hole.... no excuses
I understand the need to protect the course and then at least make it playable. We regularly play here and enjoy it but this was disgusting... a rip-off off really.

Very Wet
The course was extremely wet and the green very slow. The course was not in the best condition to play so unfair to mark it down.Reviewer Rating
