What the club says: Inspired by the great links courses of Britain, particularly those on land which are less dominated by dunes, Craigielaw is equal to many of the finest examples of such courses; some of which are conveniently located nearby in the East Lothian area. With challenging greens, cavernous bunkers and spectacular views over the Firth of Forth, Gullane Hill and out towards Edinburgh and Fife, Craigielaw Golf Club is an experience not to be missed.
Designed by Donald Steel & Co. the course opened in 2001 and in this short period has been host to many national events, including the 2006 Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship and was a qualifying course for the 2007 British Seniors Open at Muirfield.

Great links on scotlands golf coast
surrounded by amazing courses, Craigielaw shouldn't be overlooked. Great practice facilities before hand, and a throughly enjoyable mix of holes await.Reviewer Rating

Supposed to be tight but not really
However was peal if you strayed too far as I did today. Couldn't really keep the ball in play and score suffered. Too many double mistakes, lick the 9 and 18th. Even hit the Black and whit marker post full on for 2nd shot down the 18th. Breeze was back and so made it interestingReviewer Rating

A very tough course
A very tough course with very unforgiving bunkers. Nice layout, super holes and very picturesque on the coast. A true links club that pulls no punches, you need to keep it on the fairway and out of that sand. Great condition and great facilities, very welcoming too.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 102 Handicap: 18.8)

Decent course, not the best hospitality.
Enjoyed the golf, but would describe the welcome in the pro shop and in the bar/restaurant as abrupt. Being asked if we were members set the tone, as we were visitors we did feel second class. The course was in good condition and had some good holes, but as the land is shared with Kilspindie, would suggest you play there as it was way better.Reviewer Rating

Perfect conditions
In perfect conditions, weather wise, a decent score was down to the player.Course in tremendous condition, although if you went offline, the wispy grass punished you..
Thankfully this did not happen and completed round with same ball.
