What the club says: Lindfield Golf Course (formerly Paxhill Park) 6120 yards, Par 70, SSS 69 is a parkland course in the Sussex Weald founded in 1990 and designed by Patrick Tallack. The course tests and rewards skilled golfers yet still enables the enthusiastic amateur to enjoy a good game.
It presents well-drained fairways and greens and excellent year-round playing conditions maintained by quality staff. It is surrounded by sites of outstanding natural beauty and is bordered on its southerly side by the River Ouse. There are water hazards on the 5th, 13th, 14th and 18th. The finishing holes have every attribute: the 426 yard 14th is a character builder with a longish second shot to an elevated green with out of bounds on the right and the 407 yard 18th has a lake in front of the green.

Well worth a visit
An interesting inland course, with mainly generous fairways, many of which are tree lined. The scrub below the trees on most fairways has been cut back to ground level so all is not lost if you stray offline. A couple of the par threes are particularly challenging. Fairways and greens in good condition (July) but can become a bit soggy in winter conditions. No body of water to play over, but a few of the greens are protected by ditches so beware. No separate pro shop but a fine old clubhouse where you can sit outside and enjoy a drink on the patio and/or purchase some accessories, balls etc. Very friendly staff and food very good. All in all, a pleasurable environment.Reviewer Rating

Definitely worth a visit
An interesting course set in the Sussex countryside. A variety of holes, many tree lined, but generous fairways if you happen to stray of line a little. A couple of the par threes will test you. Greens in good condition and rolling well.Reviewer Rating

A bit wet!
The course is always pleasant but after winter rain the holes at the lower end were waterlogged. Quiet day so pleasant and with the winter rough cutback some areas were easier but the longer grass where waterlogged meant several balls lost in plain sight. All in all a nice day out.Reviewer Rating

Oh dear - Tigned and very sandy greens
At least the greens are being looked after . Got money off so can''t really complain. However, the rest of the course....tee box very sparse and where there is grass it is very tuffy. Fairways ok and I wont mention bunkers as that would be unfair. The night before lightening storms and heavy rain until around 2hrs before I played. So bunkers fulkl of water and greens quite wet or with sticky sand and very slowReviewer Rating

Waterlogged in places
Tee boxes patchy, Fairways Ok, Bunkers - no sand. Greens slow, a few really bumpy and one very spongy. Good for throwing an Approach shot high and at the pin(Round played: Feb 2022 - Score: 81 Handicap: 16.5)

Great value and nice day out
It's good value money wise and a pleasant course with mainly open fairways. I seem to catch it being mown but the green keepers always stop. When recently cut this is really good. Easy to park. The 19th is a bit odd, food hours very short but drinks prices ok. Some of the regulars are a bit selfish on pace of play as we and others found so morning tee offs can be a little slow. They have a habit of sanding the greens but need a bit more in the bunkers?Reviewer Rating

Quick cheeky late afternoon round
it was threatening to rain and so course empty. Flew around. Tees ok, fairways a bit luck, not much run. Greens were a little on the slow side but receptive to approach shots. Bunkers.....what bunkers. No sand and plenty of weeds. Really should be marked as GUR.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 87 Handicap: 15.7)
