Lovely, well kept course
I played here years ago and it has always been a clean a tidy course.Plenty of forgiveness on the fairways and a decent crowd on the course.

Enjoyable local 9 hole course
Enjoyable short course. Ongoing problem in that the bunkers are generally unplayable as there are generally a lot of weeds/grass growing in them.Reviewer Rating

Terrific value for money
Bentra municipal golf course is a local golf course offering a stern test for very little financial outlay. Five-day membership for pensioners like myself is only £100, but I pay as i play for only £5 a round. Its mainly a summer course for me as it gets very wet if we have a wet winter. The tees and greens are not very good, but it is a municipal course after all, no trained greenkeeper, just good honest groundsmen.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 94 Handicap: 19.4)

Great for beginners and sloggers
A great open 9 hole parkland course very forgiving if you go astray.Nice scenery, can be quite muddy during rainy times.

Fantasticvalue for money!
The Bentra course is superb value for money as pensioners get an 18 holes round for £5. The course is owned by the council and as such the staff are untrained in golf course management, but they try their best and most of the staff are courteous and friendly. But on the downside, the course is genially wet, but even when its dry, the greens are still on the slow side, but all in all, its good value for money and right on my doorstep (4 miles from my home)!(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 17.9)
