What the club says: The Mill Course is an 18 hole par 72 championship course and The Spires, a par 3 executive course. The 18 hole Mill Course covers 120 acres, dotted with lakes and gentle mounds delineating each fairway. Every hole has been designed with individual character. The course is set in gently undulating countryside with a variety of medal tees giving lengths from 5319 yards off the Ladies Tees to 6305 yards off the Competition Tees.
The Spires, the Midlands first American specification 9 hole, par 3 course with its rolling terrain and challenging water hazards, still proves to be a demanding test of golf and provides Members and visitors with an opportunity to play all 27 holes. The Spires is a perfect course to get started or brush up on your short game.

Poor management
Great location, wasted opportunity. Course is wide open on almost every hole so a good tee shot not required. Greens very slow and patchy with the smallest cut/collapsed holes I’ve played. The green fee is too high for the very average conditions but if you hit the ball sideways this course is for you.Could be very special but sadly is below par

I Went with our society to play 27 holes at Litchfield (Seedy Mill) and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. We were told with a few days to go that it would be 9 holes on the par 3 then 18 on the Mill course. We can live with that what I can’t accept is the truly awful condition of both courses. Greens on both were truly awful any poorly maintained municipal would be far better. The back 9 had massive areas undergoing serious work ( not a problem if they’d had the courtesy of informing us) which made it all but unplayable. A total waste of a day you’d be better playing a crazy golf at the beach! Added to which we have written in with a complaint and not even had the courtesy of a reply after a week. A truly dreadful course. To be fair the catering staff and food were very good but the rest was crap.Reviewer Rating

We booked a 27 hole package on Friday 12 August for our society some eight months ago for 16 people, on arrival we were told that we could only play their par three course instead of the promised 9 holes on the Mill course due to overbooking but were given a £10 pound discount for the inconvenienceThe 9 hole course proved not much more than a holiday pitch and put? hoping for much better we teed off on the Mill course expecting far better but found the same, the greens hollow tined and almost unputable with no sand in many of the bunkers and the tee boxes void of any grass? the icing on the cake was the back nine holes with the amount of work underway made the holes unplayable as per your previous reviews.
We have requested our golf fees to be reimbursed as we felt the golf courses were not fit for purpose but as of yet no reply from the administration.
