A very challenging course with deadly rough (volcanic rock) especially when windy. It's not as good condition as it should fit the price in my opinion some scruffy fairways but very nice greens.

Very quirky, but great course

The "rough" is either lava sand or lava rocks so when you rent a set of clubs there is one designated "lava" club (don't worry, you'll know which one it is!).
The staff are really friendly and provided great service in a relaxed atmosphere (it's not one of those clubs full of its own self importance).
It's my second time playing the course and next time I'm on lanzarote I'll definitely be playing it again.

Better than expected

Had read review of state following closure but in reality it is OK. Tees greens and fairways are fine but its a dessert course so if you stray off the green stuff you struggle to get back to the fairway.

Windy, very challenging course

This is an extremely challenging course. There is absolutely no margin for error, if you miss the fairways, then you are likely to end up on the volcanic rocks that line the fairways. We played on a very windy day too which didn't help. The course is quite long, beautifully kept and the greens were superb. Course was very quiet, the pro shop staff were extremely friendly and the clubhouse was beautiful. All in all, an extremely enjoyable morning. I would definitely recommended to anyone visiting the area.

Previous reviews are pretty reflective of the course. Clubhouse looks and feels tired and the course has been hewn out of a volcanic landscape! Took my own clubs which I wouldn't do again; wouldn't play anything out of a bunker - the razor sharp black grit will literally shred your clubs. The fairways and greens are actually pretty good; the scenery is whacky - palm trees and black volcanic hills everywhere you look. The course fees are biblical, far too much for the course. However play after 15:30 hrs and the rate is cropped to €38 which is probably what it's worth. Expect Costa resort golf standards and you will be disappointed, but realign your expectations and its pretty good and not busy either.. Will play again.

Now under new management. Needs time to improve. Amazing scenery, course set amongst volcanoes and numerous palm tress. Good value for twilight T times.

Took a trip here whilst on a family holiday. Had to hire clubs and as usual they were not great but I suppose it's normal. The course was ok it was just too windy for a high handicapper like myself to really enjoy myself. It's my second trip to Lazarote so I know it can be like that but it spoiled the day a little for me. But I suppose I need to adapt!

Well established course with mature trees, but let down by too much volcanic rock rough and traps which'll destroy your clubs. Even the bunkers are coarse. Not a good holiday experience although clubhouse is well appointed.
