What the club says: The first desert course ever to be opened in Europe is very similar to layouts you would expect to see in Arizona and California and it presents unforgettable views of the surrounding area. The fairways are forgiving, however every hole has features that can be brought into play. A number of springs, watercourses, dry river beds, rocks and cacti areas are strategically located to examine all aspects of any golfer's game. Course designer Peter McEvoy says, "We have created a course which really can be enjoyed by players of all different standards."
18 holes. Par 72. 6747 yards.

Desert Off the Fairway
Played Desert Springs for the first time October 1st 2020. The lady in the reception told us they had been doing a lot of work around the course and had hollow tinned the greens two weeks earlier, so the course was not at its best. However from a challenge view point it is a tough course. Par 5 1st is a tough hole and as we learned if you are off the fairways here you are in trouble. Some good par 5's, some great par 4's with water featuring and some challenging par 3's. You need to play conservatively and use good course management to get anywhere near par.Reviewer Rating

decent
played this course 4th october 2019, got it on a cheap tee rate, and it was a very fair price for a decent course, other players need to repair their pitch markers thoughReviewer Rating

A must visit
Excellent course and facilities. The greens are the best, one professional told me that they were the best he had played on.Not the longest course but the challenge is to keep the ball on the grass! It is a desert course and generally has narrow fairways and long carries from the tee. Fail to keep on the grass and you will be on the hard pan (compressed sand) or amongst the cacti.

As a relative novice to golf, the course is very callenging, but extremely enjoyable.
I would love to play there more often but, as a premier course, the fees are out of reach for a casual golfer except for special occasions.

The positives - Lovely looking course, a proper challenge. Don't need to be a big hitter to score well. Good facilities regards chipping / putting area and range. Terrain-wise relatively flat so no need for buggies.
The negatives - Very unforgiving if you aren't a straight hitter that knows their distances. Take lots of balls and a 'rescue' club you don't mind getting beaten up a bit trying to get back onto the fairway.
