Sweeping fairways
Played today 26/09/22 with my stepbrotherI must admit I was expecting an underwhelming experience as I'd heard Margate had had its day and was fading
We were surprised and impressed. Although the greens had various shades of green on them they rolled pure and true I'd guess at 8.5 on the stiimp meter. The course had variations in elevation and sweeping fairways from hole to hole
A Peter Matkovich design who is one of my favourite course designers has used the best parts of nature to enhance a very enjoyable round
Trees are mostly dotted around and get in the way if you're not straight off the tee. Finding your balk under the trees is easy and more have been removed for a fun round even if you're not at your best
Very friendly staff and head Greenkeeper
Pies and gravy halfway was good
Twilight round all week @ £120 unbeatable
