What the club says: Nothing reflects the natural beauty and diverse landscape of Qatar more than Doha Golf Club. Designed by Peter Harradine and unveiled in 1997, the 7374-yard 18-hole Championship Course and floodlit 9-hole Academy Course provide a variety of challenges that will appeal to both the novice golfer and the seasoned professional. 8 strategically positioned lakes, 65 giant cacti, numerous imposing limestone rock formations and an abundance of lush and lengthy green fairways present a startling contrast to the desert that lies beyond.
For golfers who find the challenge of the 18-hole Championship Course a little too demanding, the Club offers a 9-hole floodlit Academy Course, ideal for the novice and less-experienced golfers. With a length of 2,808 yards, this course offers spectacular views of the West Bay Lagoon and is maintained to the same high standard as the Championship Course. Its floodlights enable golfers to manage a round after work and play until midnight.

Fantastic
Course has undergone major improvements under the new greenkeepers and is in fantastic shape, as noted by numerous European Tour players recently. If you're in Doha, this is a must visit.Reviewer Rating

Much improved
Greens are best I have ever seen here. Course has been modified and cleaned up. Much improved.Halfway house menu is very limited and not good at all(Round played: Dec 2018 - Score: 91 Handicap: 15.2)

Academy course playing very well at the moment and in good condition. Greens accurate. Food slesction at the halfway house is not good. Bring your own sandwiches!

The Academy course at Doha Golf club is a great 9 hole course, the course is kept in good condition all year round. A bonus also is that it is flood lite so you can play at night.
