What the club says: One of the reasons people enjoy playing Boavista is that it's always in first-rate condition. Another is the attractiveness of the course with its far reaching views of the Bay of Lagos to the east and the Monchique mountains to the north. Designed in 2002 by Howard Swan the golf course uses the natural contours of the terrain and as a result it presents plenty of challenge - especially on holes six and eight where you have to hit your ball across a ravine!

With two distinctive sections the course offers a variety of holes commencing with the welcoming first hole, a meandering downhill par-4, bordered by beautiful sub-tropical landscaping leading to harmoniously designed properties. The first nine, in general, climb to the highest point of the resort, where a pause at the eighth tee will allow one to experience panoramic views. Subsequent holes descend to an area where water features, streams, lakes and arched bridges, reminiscent of landscaped gardens abound.

Great course with some very interesting holes and lovely views, valleys to cross and some tight fairways

Very NIce Course

I played this course with my husband. The course is quite up and down and you have various stances to deal with. I enjoyed the experience but the pace was very slow.

Fantastic Views

A great course, which I had problems with many difficult stances and it was hot. We had a great reception and everyone was welcoming.

Nice course close to Lagos

The course was in really good condition and a nice challenge without being too difficult to enjoy.

Some really nice views but tainted a little bit by being almost completely surrounded by villas, more so than some other nice courses around the area.

Super convenient as it’s only a €5 euro, under 10 min taxi drive from Lagos centre.

Good challenge

Interesting layout with water and the number of blind shots making it a challenge despite some short holes. Bunkers raked daily but absolutely rock hard.

Very enjoyable course set with a holiday housing estate to open out to some very picturesque holes . Best of all relatively quiet.

This is an interesting and enjoyable course to play due to the layout. Unfortunately it is spoilt by poor maintenance. The greens and tees are just shocking and nobody seems to care. The bunkers are solid with just the very top raked. These need digging out to get them back to a playable condition. The greens and tees will need serious maintenance work to bring these back to a good playable condition.

driving range was closed every day

We stayed there for 4 days; the driving range was closed every day. At 85 euros a round that is not acceptable. They allow young kids with parents on the course; 5 hour rounds.
Espiche and Palmares are worth every penny. Forget Boavista.

Lovely course and very friendly staff throughout the clubhouse. Greens very lively and true. Bar staff probably the most friendly on the Algarve golf courses.

The course is starting to look a little tired as the management seem to be concentrating on house building and not paying attention to the course or it's members.
