Four Seasons Resort Provence

Course Information

Two of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe – designed by one the finest golf course designers worldwide. Both courses in the Domaine de Terre Blanche offer a standard of care and maintenance that will satisfy your demands at any time on 300 days of sunshine throughout the year. In addition, you can enjoy the benefits of the latest technologies from Biomecaswing and probably the most well-known golf academy of all, the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. The courses designed by Dave Thomas are characterized by rolling fairways, challenging bunkers, appealing water features and impeccable greens. Inspired by stunning terrain, Dave Thomas created a series of unforgettable shot-making challenges. Using their natural topography, the courses are designed to be enjoyed by golfers of every ability. The two 18 hole golf courses offer panoramas of limestone peaks, oak forests and medieval hilltop villages. Both par 72 courses will inspire you by their beauty, and challenge you to improve your level of play. You may choose to play Le Château course, rated at par 72 and 6,616 meters (7,235 yards). This golf course, designed to host professional tournaments, features long par 4s. The second course, Le Riou, the private course, unfurls over 6,005 meters (6,567 yards) and is intended for all levels of play. Players will be rewarded with magnificent views of the hillside villages.

Now that Les Bordes had changed ownership (ie now difficult to get a game there) the two courses here are probably the best we have played in France. Le Chateau is long and calls for accuracy off of the tee. Le Riou (for hotel guests only) is shorter but also calls for precision. Both are a delight to play, in excellent condition, and if your score gives you anything near your handicap, you will be feeling very pleased with yourself. Non-playing friends will enjoy the views.
