What the club says: The excellent condition of the course, combined with the subtly sloping greens and changing sea breezes provide a great test of golf for both high and low handicappers. Mr Charles Hunter professional at Prestwick designed the 9 holes of 'sporting character' in 1894 whilst Mr W. Gordon Cunningham designed the 'new' nine holes and officially opened the course on 30th May 1987.

A very tough course
Not an easy course to play. A coastal links challenge with plenty of tough rough to avoid. The fairway, tricky to decipher and even trickier to hold made the visit not an enjoyable one. A basic clubhouse and practice facilities would not rate highly for a return visit. Glad for the experience but not for me.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 108 Handicap: 18.5)

Great course
A very good course with good greens. The course is very flat but the greens are very undulating. Over all a very good day(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 91 Handicap: 15.1)

In great condition.
Played in a mixed competition here yesterday (6th April) and the course was in great condition for the time of year. We had lovely weather, the greens are amazing, and the views fantastic.Reviewer Rating
