What the club says: Set in 200 acres of parkland and listed by English Heritage as a protected park and garden. The Rotherwick Course at Tylney Park is an example of the very best inland golf available in Britain. In 2003, a leading firm of golf architects were asked to re-design the 1974 golf course in such a way that would do justice to a site which has long been felt could unlock more potential as one of the finest parkland settings in the south of England.

Varied course in quiet Hampshire countryside with challenging greens. Homely recently updated clubhouse with helpful staff and reasonable food. Unfortunately, on clay so despite extensive extra drainage installed this year can be wet underfoot in places. Additional drainage being added to outstanding areas in 2025. Well worth a visit spring onwards.

Varied challenging course, with tricky greens. Compact friendly clubhouse with helpful staff and good food. Practice field and downhill range to improve your game. Extensive new drainage is working well in the current heavy rain conditions a major improvement as course is on clay.

Course in good condition

The course was in good condition; the rough was high and penalising; greens were tricky with lots of borrows in them. Some longish walks between green/tee. Good club house with very friendly staff. Decent price for buggies. Really enjoyed the day, though not necessarily my scorecard

Varied challenging course in quiet Hampshire countryside. Greens can be very tricky depending on pin position. Compact clubhouse with friendly staff and new chef. Course has recovered well from the exceptionally wet winter. More drainage currently being installed. Worth a visit.

Hampshire Parkland Quiet Challenge

Varied challenging course in quiet Hampshire countryside. Demanding greens, compact clubhouse with friendly staff. Well worth a visit in the summer months, course on clay so not at its best following the recent very wet weather. Just announced additional drainage work starting May that will be carried out over the next couple of years.

Great course in the summer, varied and challenging holes and greens. Set in quiet countryside with refurbished clubhouse and excellent new chef. Worth a visit in drier conditions. Unfortunately, has clay soil so can be very wet and muddy in the winter months.

Hampshire gem

Varied challenge in the quiet Hampshire countryside. Course laid out in amble surrounding meaning that there is good space between holes. Reading the greens requires thought. Recently refurbished clubhouse and kitchen, new chef has improved the food offering. Well worth a visit in drier conditions as on clay.

Quiet County Location

Situated in Hampshire countryside presents a varying challenge with demanding greens. Clubhouse has been improved in recent years, no full time chef, steward left today, bar staff also recently changed. The course is well worth playing but what level of service will be provided in the clubhouse has yet to be communicated.

Good mature course which is a challenge for a low to mid handicapper. The clubhouse, however, is in dire need of upgrading.

Hampshire Secret Venue

Quiet course in the Hampshire Countryside with varying challenges to suit golfers of all abilities. Compact welcoming clubhouse with helpful staff, well worth a visit outside of very wet conditions the course being on clay. Watch out for some very challenging greens especially 4 and 17 where three putts is not a disgrace.

Great course in quiet surrounding

The course has recovered well from the freezing and wet conditions experienced since early December. This should continue with the dry warmer weather scheduled for the coming week. Friendly and helpful staff but the lack of a chef has gone on too long.

Fantastic course, good condition for the time of year all 18 greens in play only 1 temp tee box.
No catering facilities but don't let that put you off playing at Tylney you won't be disappointed.
