What the club says: This beautifully maintained 9-hole parkland course designed by Tom Morris in 1908 represents a challenge to golfers of all abilities. With a standard scratch score of 68 for men (71 for ladies) the 5900 yard layout provides many a test and the beautiful, tranquil setting and dramatic scenery combine to give you a day to remember .

The course and its surroundings are famous locally for the rich variety of wildlife and one is frequently rewarded with the sight of soaring buzzards or deer crossing the fairways, so golf is not the only pleasure of a round at Tarland.

Beautiful course

This course is beautifully maintained. The layout is interesting, challenging and hugely enjoyable. I recommend an evening round on a summer evening when the sun is setting over the surrounding Hills. A perfect setting.

Absolute gem

Great course, virtually untouched by other golfers. Massive test of accuracy as anything off straight is seriously punished by the rough. Love this place.

Lovely course

I played at Tarland during the corona situation, so the clubhouse was shut. The course was great - not long but in very good condition and some tricky holes, especially the par 3s. Well worth a visit.

Hidden gem on Royal Deeside. This is a 9 hole course but has 2 tees on each hole which transforms it into an excellent 18 hole course. Well laid out parkland course. No real hazards to speak of. Enjoyable course and along with the welcoming clubhouse give this club an great experience.

A great little course. It may be short but it was certainly no pushover. Enjoyed a very friendly welcome too.
