What the club says: Idyllically set on the south bank of the River Tweed, adjoining a site of scientific importance, this 9 hole course enjoys an environment which enables the golfer to absorb a relaxed playing atmosphere which adds to the whole golfing experience. Between shots it is possible to watch anglers landing their catch or the horses on the opposite bank drinking from the river and otters playing on the river banks . Wildlife is ever present and the backdrop of sounds and movement just adds to a stress free round.

A little gem
This is a lovely little course which sits in an idyllic spot next to the river Tweed. The only real problem with it, as a nine hole course, is that both players share a (wide) fairway and this sometimes causes a bit of a delay if your ball crosses to the ?wrong? side, but it did not spoil our enjoyment of the round. The course was in good condition when we played and it is a very friendly club.Reviewer Rating

Played on the 13th March the morning after very heavy rain, so much so that the River Tweed had burst its banks. Even with many courses in the area being closed due to water-logging, St Boswells stayed open due to excellent drainage. Bar a few puddles and the river being very close to fairways, it played superbly. Views were superb and can't wait to return, staff were also very friendly and made this visitor feel very welcome. I'll be back!

The course is relatively short and flat (apart from 1 hill) but it is enjoyable round of golf. The River Tweed runs alongside the course and the setting is fantastic - will be stunning on a sunny day.
First two holes are par 3's but both very different and can't see many average golfers starting 3-3 often. All the trouble is to the left so (river & out of bounds) so keep it straight up the middle for a good score. The last hole is a relatively short par 4 that is a real risk/reward hole. Go for the green and maybe get a 2, but get it wrong and you could end up double bogey (or worse).
The clubhouse is very comfortable and bar was open (no food though - lady told us we needed to pre book it) and changing rooms had 1 shower to use. Overall a very enjoyable course / club - will be back
