What the club says: South Beds Golf Club in Luton has two courses, the 18-hole Galley Hill Course and the 9-hole Warden Hill Course. Both are downland courses built around the chalk hills of Bedfordshire.
Galley Hill Course: At 6401 yards in length, with a Par and SSS of 71, the Galley Hill Course is recognised as one of the best in Bedfordshire and surrounding counties.
Warden Hill Course: The 9-hole Warden Hill Course presents a well kept challenge all year round. It is 4784 yards for 18 holes, with a Par of 64 and therefore, a full course and not a 'par 3' or 'pitch & putt course'.

Great for winter
No standing water, greens running well no mud on the fairways. For almost November after a lot of rain that's really impressive. Some interesting holes with blind tee shots. Really decent course.Reviewer Rating

Decent?
Good condition, course now easier than previously, due to the cutting back of the trees and rough. Greens very good.Reviewer Rating

Well maintained and run
Played here today in a mixed open event. A great welcome and service from the moment we arrived from the staff and member volunteers, to the moment we left.Course in great condition with quite a few interesting holes and some lovely views from the holes that go up into the neighbouring hill. The greens were stunning and lightning quick. Well done to all the green staff. Was treated to a brilliant 2 course carvery afterwards in the relaxed but tidy clubhouse.
Would definitely consider a return visit here and the members and staff should be proud of their course

Terrible weather
Probably not the ideal conditions to judge as we had to contend with howling wind and frequent heavy showers. However a nice course. Hilly. Greens quicker than they look. Often a good walk between some greens and the next tee so total walking distance was 6.4 miles. We started on 10th so the last two holes (8&9) are both par 5's. Would like to revisit when the weather was calmer and less damp. Definitely will be better informed second time around .
