What the club says: Golf has been played over the Selkirk hill since the club was founded in 1883. The present course was laid out in 1924, by Musselburgh's Willie Park. Overlooking the town the golf club provides a spectacular view over the Linglie Hills and the distant rolling hills of Ettrick & Yarrow

The course itself was in very good condition, with a lovely fairway and smooth greens. There are some pretty holes too, with the dog leg 5th probably my favourite (even if it didn't do me any favours). The par 5 8th and par 3 9th were also very lovely.
There are some decent climbs here, so perhaps not suitable for all levels of fitness. It probably doesn't favour the higher handicap players either. Certainly worth a look if you're able to hit it straight.
