What the club says: Scoonie Golf Club is situated in the seaside town of Leven in the Kingdom of Fife and is one of the seven courses which form the Fife Golf Trust. It is a 5476 yard long par 67 parkland course and is open to visitors with bar and catering facilities available. Visiting parties are welcome.

Originally opened as a 9 hole course it has been extended over the years to the present layout of 18 holes which was designed in 1936 by James Braid and provides sufficient challenges to maintain the interest of low handicap golfers whilst remaining within the capabilities of the higher handicappers.

Winter Scoonie

I really enjoyed Scoonie course. A varied layout of holes, good practice for shorter iron approaches to greens. Winter work being done on the fairways, but greens good for time of the year. This work should make it much better, come spring.

Continues to give value for money

Greens and fairways in very good condition for the time of year. Greens fast and true. No problem with the winter tees.

Mr

Well laid out course with few hills. Greens sanded just now but still good to play.

Scoonie review

Brilliant course. Would recommend highly, one word of advice is stay out of bunkers, sand dodgy if damp,
Apart from that enjoy.

Excellent short course with superb greens

Par 67, flattish course with great views over the Forth on a clear day. Very well maintained, especially the greens. Busy in the morning, less so in the afternoon.

Great greens

No major hazzards well kept course - easy to find - lovely greens but some fairways burnt due to hot weather

Good, spacious course. Perfect for beginner's with a few tricky par 3's and 4's. Overall a nice, well looked after wee course.

Further to my review on Dec 9 2014 I would like to add the catering has vastly improved after being contracted out, The food is good and the opening ours much longer. We are now able to get something when we finish a round which we could not before.. Well done
