Nice Course in the Spring/Summer
Nice layout and plays very well in the spring / summer or as long as theres not prolonged heavy rain. Challenging enough for low handicappers but not too challenging for high/Mid.Great staff, very friendly and helpful. One of the best value rounds you'll find in Essex

Risebridge GC. Nice course layout, but....
Played in a social event with a couple of mates, as it's a fairly central to us. Not played here before, so here's my views. Large car park, 1970's chalet style clubhouse. Small, but well stocked pro-shop. Excellent catering, food was superb. Staff were all very friendly. Small-ish putting green and a small range, didn't use this though. As for the course, some very good challenging holes, especially those that played into the wind and a good test at just over 6000 yards from the yellow tees. The teeboxes themselves, were OK, need levelling out, but weren't the worst I've encountered. The fairways were very good and were undulating in places, meaning some shots had the ball, above and below your feet, so made you think. Disappointed with the bunkers, very little sand and not one rack in any bunker around the course, so at times you would be playing from other peoples footmarks. Also the greens were a little disappointing. They hadn't been cut or rolled and very bare in places, with even fenced off GUR areas on some greens. All in all though, this could be an excellent course given some TLC by the owners, with some fantastic views and it was an enjoyable day. So much better than working. For £23 it's worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

In great condition for this time of year
A great course for a relaxing round without to much pressure. The green ran true and the course drains very well.Reviewer Rating

excellent condition
Lovely sunny day on an interesting and challenging course. A good length on the yellow tees of 6004yds. The fairway and greens were well maintained. Bunkers need attention because the "sand" was a bit "muddy". New trees are being planted which is good for the future and shows the course is receiving design attention.Reviewer Rating
