What the club says: Opened in 1923 by HRH Prince of Wales, Richmond Park Golf Course was heralded as a place where ‘artisans and royalty are equally welcome’. 90 years on and Richmond Park is now truly fit for a king, following a £3million improvements programme by Glendale Golf.
The impressive venue includes a brand new clubhouse, designed to literally blend in with nature with a roof made using acid grassland from the Park. The eco-friendly building features an open plan coffee shop, bar & restaurant. Floor to ceiling to glazing provides uninterrupted views across the golf courses, against the spectacular backdrop of Richmond Park’s 2500 acres.
The Duke’s and Prince’s Courses reopened in June 2014 following a major overhaul to improve the quality and layout of their 36 holes. Furthermore, a 15-bay Driving Range is now open, which is perfect for golfers wanting to improve and those who are new to the game.

Regards Range being closed Tuesday a m.
Range balls in the areas difficult to get to are collected Tuesday mornings manually , hence the range is closed due to safety reasons. Accept it and let the guys do their job which is physically demanding , and whether you top and shank 20 balls before you play is neither here nor thereReviewer Rating

Great value for money
Unbeatable value for money when it comes to a public course in London. Fairways and greens in top condition, roughs are tricky, bring plenty of balls as they are easy to lose even if you're just off the fairway.Duke's course is the one to play - The pace of play on Prince's is awful, and its a bit too simple and easy. Go for an early tee time, even on a weekday, otherwise you risk getting stuck in a queue.

Very good for the price
For probably the most reasonably accessible course both distance and price wise for London, this is a very good golf course. 2 courses, Princes and Dukes, both relatively flat but offer a decent challenge to the golfer. Rough can be intense in the summer yes, but its nothing too extreme like other reviews make out. Green fees, snacks and drinks are reasonable. Pace of play could be monitored better by staff/marshals at busy times.Reviewer Rating

Good Value
Courses (Dukes and Princes) both in remarkably good condition considering how popular they are. Green fees are very reasonable and the clubhouse has lovely views over the courses and the Royal Park. The staff are very friendly and helpful.Reviewer Rating

Poorly maintained
This is my first review for golfshake. I have a pretty high tolerance for shoddy golf courses but my recent experience at Richmond Park (Dukes) compelled me to write this. The course is very poorly maintained at the moment. There’s a difference between growing the rough up and just neglecting to cut the grass.I lost balls in rough that is less than 5 paces off the green on two holes, including the rough between two greenside bunkers. We’re not talking a wild miss here, 10 feet right of a tiny green on a 200 yard par 3 and the ball is gone. There’s rough like this all around the course and it makes it pretty unplayable. I have played this course many times and it’s never been like this. Avoid, or don’t use premium balls.
