What the club says: Pyrford is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and wildlife. Ringed by magnificent woodland the fairways weave between sculptured mounds and the 23 acres of lakes, fringed with bulrushes, reeds and lilies, give the course its distinctive and unique characteristic with water ever present.

The 6,230 yard course is separated into 2 loops providing a choice of starting positions. Every hole is different and whilst the course may not be the longest by today’s modern designs a good score will require careful strategy and use of every club in your bag. The best players may well be tempted to take on the challenge of longer carries yet the design gives the less experienced player a safer and more productive route.

Different combinations of tee positions provide a challenge for players of all abilities and the unique design ensures no two rounds are the same.

Despite they seem to be plenty of staff milling around the service was quite slow and to cap it all off having been kept waiting on breakfast it turned up cold and the majority of players left most of it if not all in some cases.
The course itself was satisfactory but not brilliant which was a bit disappointing as I've played it in the past and enjoyed it immensely.

Absolutely worth playing here.
The 9th and 11th are quite challenging. If you could make a par on those, you won't have any problem with the rest.

SLOW!!!!

So slow I grew a beard!!
Six hour rounds at the weekends due to societies on a Saturday
And staff who just sit in the buggy saying “it is the weekend you know “. Food nice but £8 for a bacon roll !! Come on better course around to play

Good challenging course

Good course and in good condition considering the weather. Greens particularly good, and fast!
Can score low if you avoid the water!

The course was absolutely perfect in every way. From the well-maintained fairways to the challenging but fair greens, every detail was thoughtfully designed to provide an exceptional golfing experience. The layout was both scenic and strategically interesting, keeping me engaged throughout the entire round. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. I was thoroughly impressed and very satisfied with the experience. It’s a course I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch day of golf. I can't wait to return!v

Wow, what a course!

Beautiful and challenging course, obviously from the name of the course, there is a lot of water, but its such a beautiful course that it gets you thinking of each and every shot!

Very friendly staff who made all of us very welcome. Had people on course to reduce slow play. Never offensive just making the odd suggestion. Challenging with lots of water but really enjoyed the venue. Food and bar service excellent

Interesting course to play

Worth a visit - lots of water around the course as the name suggests. Not easy to play on first visit as the course layout makes club and shot selection difficult. Make sure you have enough spare balls in your bag!
