The condition of the course,the flora and fauna of the general area,the club house. Lots of works have been carried out over the past few years.

Golfing fun
Portumna is an aspirational golf course with plans fro improvements on an already excellent product. I loved its friendly accessible feel. The food and clubhouse were simply superb and others clearly felt the same as there were many golf societies playing the venue as repeat visitors. the best from of recommendation I could find. I liked the layout it needed a strategic and steady approach. Definitely not well done but it deserves to move up the rankings as the product it delivers is great fun and one I would happily enjoy again.Reviewer Rating

This course has improved even beyond it's best condition over the past 2 years. New greenkeeper - a big 'thank you'. Now, probably the best parkland course in the country. It is now a 'must play's course. Hidden gem.
