What the club says: Peterhead Golf Club was established in 1841. The ‘Old Course’ layout began as a 9 hole course in 1892, designed by Willie Park Jnr a dual winner of the Open Championship. The ‘Old Course’ was extended to 18 holes in 1908 and a second 18 hole course ‘The New Course’ was established in 1923, however today it exists as a 9 hole course.

One of the best value links courses in the north east it is always in top condition it does not get the hype of some of it's more expensive counterparts but us locals know better you will not be disappointed

A course i like but its currently not in great condition. Played last week and the greens and fairways weren't to the standard i have seen in the past. I can't comment if the amount of buggies that seem to now be in use here have played a part in this or if the greens-staff have dropped in standards.

Nice links course. Wind is always present which can make it a real challenge for all levels of golfer.

Peterhead Golf Club is the friendliest golf club in the world!
The club president greeted us, we were offered chocolate biscuits with our coffee's, they rang the chef to get them in to make us bacon butties, the old members got told off for swearing in front of special visitors and then to top it off the club president asked if we would like to play off the medal tees! Amazing welcome. The course is another cracking links course with some wonderful testing holes. Particularly the 7th 8th 16th and 17th.
