9 holes of fun
I play here every now and then and can honestly say it’s never been in better shape. The greens have had some really skilful care and the whole course is kept simple and tidy. James Braid would be proud! His design means though not long, it’s a challenge with many blind shots and tricky borrowsReviewer Rating

Time Capsule Course
9 challenging holes with a few alternate tees when playing 18, this 19th Century throwback keeps you focused from the very first hole- a 200 yard par 3 across a deep valley. There are gulleys to avoid, windy hilltops, a cheeky dogleg and some narrow fairways to negotiate. It’s not Walton Heath, in length or refinement, but it’s a proper golf course. In late spring the course is still a little wet and the greens slow but the best they have been for years- evidence of some hard work from the green keepers. At the last, if you hit the small green in front of the balcony bar, expect a round of applause!Reviewer Rating

Great Views
Course was in great condition and the views are great. Nice mix of holes. The 9th Par 3 is interesting, a great final hole if scores are close in your round.(Round played: Jun 2021 - 9 Hole Score: 63 Handicap: )

9 hole ideal practice
Not great greens but a great variety of holes, doglegs, blind and only 2 par 3 played twice but both really tough as fairways are just big valleys and one is full of trees.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 94 Handicap: 22)

The fairways were in good condition, the grass on greens were a bit long and slow. I think if the grass on the greens were improved and speeded up and the fairways just mown a little bit shorter then this would be a diamond of a course. Really interesting course with spectacular views, just needs a bit more regular manicuring to realise it's true potential as a fantastic little course. (7 h.cap)
