What the club says: Orsett G.C was founded in 1899; this magnificent championship course designed by the legendry James Braid was firmly imbedded into this piece of the Essex countryside. In the early years Orsett became a focal point for the local community to gather and enjoy their golf; even through the hard times of the two world wars.

Best course in Essex
I played Orsett golf course on 12th July and found the course to be in near perfect condition baring in mind the heat that we have been having recently. I course is a real challenge and you really have to make sure you score well before getting to the 14th as it an extremely hard finish from thereCouldn't recommend the course enough

I have heard many good things about Orsett golf club and this is the first time I have been able to experience this superb course. Lovely welcome in the club house and the fairways and greens in great condition.

Really nice course, lots of gorse to avoid. Plenty of interesting holes. Unfortunately the members are among the most miserable I've ever encountered. They don't like visitors.

Fantastic conditions
Amazing course. It rained all day, the course was not muddy, greens were quick. Highly recommend.(Round played: Feb 2022 - Score: 92 Handicap: 24.7)
